While donuts were not invented in the U.S., it is in New York that they were popularized and then it became an American staple. Originally called oil cakes by dutch settlers, they were sold in the streets of Manhattan where the fried confection was immediately seen as clones and copies appeared out of the blue.
Amongst the original doughnuts, is one of the first variations, the chocolate doughnut. Today it is an American treat and we shortened the name to donut. You can find a donut store in just about every city from New York to Los Angeles. Our inflatable donut replica is a popular inflatable and our larger models have even been used for famous locations such as Randy's Doughnuts in Los Angeles.
